Nature has always played a vital role in the artistic vision of Boucheron, and the latest Histoire de Style High Jewellery collection, “Untamed Nature,” brings this connection to new heights. Under the creative direction of Claire Choisne, the Maison presents a 28-piece collection that transforms botanical elements and creatures into intricate jewelry masterpieces. Inspired by Frédéric Boucheron’s passion for unrefined nature, this collection reimagines the organic world in ways that blur the line between jewelry and the human body.

A Tribute to the Wild and Unrefined
From the ivy that once adorned the arcades of the Palais-Royal, where Frédéric Boucheron opened his first boutique, to the ferns, thistles, insects, and wildflowers that shaped his early designs, nature has always been at the heart of Maison’s aesthetic. While many of his competitors focused on exotic flowers and extravagant animals, he found inspiration in the wild, unrefined, and overlooked elements of the natural world. One of the defining elements of “Untamed Nature” by Boucheron is its transformative designs, which allow pieces to be worn in multiple ways. Necklaces become brooches, hairpieces double as earrings, and rings take the form of sculptural insects.

Airelles Necklace – Inspired by lingonberries, this diamond-encrusted necklace features detachable stems that can transform into a cascading brooch or smaller pins. The specialized setting allows each stem to adjust naturally to the body outline.

Avoine Head Jewels – A recreation of oat spikelets, these beautiful diamond encased headpieces sway with movement, embodying the airy, windblown effect of real oat grass.
Chardon Necklace – Based on the thistle, this piece showcases lifelike diamond engraved leaves and stems. The design is so precise that the back of the necklace features flame-shaped cutouts, intensifying light reflection while reducing weight.

Papillon de Nuit Brooch – A moth-inspired brooch and hairpiece made from mother-of-pearl and diamonds. The wings are hand engraved for a lifelike texture, appearing to swing with every movement.
Insects as Living Jewels
Boucheron’s Histoire de Style collections have always focused on nature, but ‘Untamed Nature’ takes this to another level by introducing insects as movable jewelry pieces. The Maison’s artisans have meticulously crafted:

Bourdon Ring – A bumblebee set with onyx, diamonds, and mother-of-pearl, featuring a hidden mechanism that allows the wings to shift as though in flight.
Lucane Ring – A stag beetle that can be worn as either a two-finger ring or a brooch, detailed with black lacquer to emphasize its natural texture.

A Trio of Insects – A collection featuring a bee, ladybug, and fly, each designed with a lightweight structure that allows them to rest on clothing or hair, mimicking their movement in nature.
The “Untamed Nature” collection by Boucheron is a homage to brand’s dedication to detail. By focusing on unpredictable, organic shapes and detailed mechanics, the collection transforms how jewellery interacts with the body. Each piece is more than an ornament, it’s a living, evolving part of the wearer’s presence.

With Claire Choisne’s vision at the lead, Boucheron continues to push the boundaries of High Jewellery, proving that true luxury is not just about perfection, but about creativity and a deep connection to the world around us.
