When you think of Bugatti, for most people luxury, engineering, and incredible speed come to your mind. In celebration of Bugatti’s 110th anniversary, the company has unveiled the Bugatti Baby II, a modern, electric homage to the iconic Type 35 Grand Prix car. This 75% scale replica was developed in collaboration with The Little Car Company. At Chic Icon, we believe the Bugatti Baby II electric car not only looks incredible with its historical design but also guarantees enthusiasts an amazing, unique driving experience.
A Vision for the Future
The Bugatti Baby II is a tribute to the Bugatti Baby, originally created in 1926 by Ettore Bugatti as a slightly smaller replica of the Type 35 for his son, Roland. What began as a one-off toy for a child soon turned into a huge success, with over 500 units produced and sold to select clients in the late 1920s. Fast forward to the 21st century, in collaboration with The Little Car Company, the Bugatti Baby II is finally back for the newer generation of customers. Each Baby II is handcrafted to strict standards, guaranteeing the same level of prestige and exclusivity that the Bugatti brand represents.

Engineering Brilliance in a Compact Package
Chic Icon wants to highlight the fact that the Bugatti Baby II electric car is no ordinary children’s car. Designed at 75% the size of the original Type 35, both children and adults can comfortably fit inside it, targeting enthusiasts of all ages. The vehicles are available in three versions, Base, Vitesse, and Pur Sang. There are varying levels of performance and customization offered by each model and they may vary depending on local regulations.
The Base model has a smaller 1.4 kWh battery and delivers a top speed of 30 km/h (20 mph), perfect for smaller children or more cautious drivers.

The Vitesse model has a bigger 2.8 kWh battery and a lightweight carbon fiber body. It can go up to 70 kilometers per hour (43 mph) and features two driving modes: Novice, Expert, and an optional Speed Key that gets rid of the electronic limiter for a higher top speed.
The Pur Sang model features the same 2.8 kWh battery but is made out of a hand-crafted aluminum body and includes the same driving modes. This top-tier version is definitely a collector’s dream, offering the ultimate luxury and performance. The company uses a traditional coach-building process to manufacture the Bugatti Baby II electric car, with each aluminum body taking more than two hundred hours to create.
Artistic Collaboration

Artist Alex Alpert has played a crucial role in this project, bringing his distinctive style to the Bugatti Baby II. Each car is carefully hand-painted, making every unit a one-of-a-kind. Clients that order these special editions also receive a corresponding signed print from the artist, further enhancing the value and collectible nature of these models.
Exclusivity Redefined
True to Bugatti’s ethos, the Bugatti Baby II is built in limited numbers. With only 500 units available, owning one is a rare privilege. Each car comes with a certificate of authenticity and can be customized to illustrate the owner’s unique taste. They offer options for special finishes, unique color choices, and personalized interiors to ensure that no two Bugatti Baby II’s are exactly the same.

Additionally, owners will have access to exclusive Bugatti events and can be part of a global community of enthusiasts who share a passion for this legendary brand.
Conclusion
The partnership between Bugatti, Hedley Studios, and artist Alex Alpert has resulted in a series of Bugatti Baby II art cars that honor the brand’s long and famous history while still retaining some modern luxurious features. We are convinced that these unique vehicles further continue Bugatti’s strong dedication to engineering, artistry, and enthusiasm, which has been the core of the brand for more than 100 years.
