Key 1
Becoming a better leader
The very first key to becoming a better leader in life and business is learning to lead yourself. If we want to lead others, we first must lead ourselves in all areas that we desire to see more growth in.
If we only look and delegate outside of us, we won’t feel in alignment with ourselves and then our leadership can come across as inauthentic.
Yet, when we start by looking within and learning to lead ourselves in a manner that brings results then we can also lead others better.
Upon some reflection about how you can become a better leader, ask yourself this question; where in my life and business can I better lead myself?
Key 2
Raise your standards
If you want to see better results in business and you expect higher standards from others you must first raise your own standards.
I recently hosted a three-day live transmission focused on raising your standards and never settling for anything less than what you desire in life and business. We often drop the ball because we don’t believe that it is possible for us. The key to being a better leader in life and business is first proving to ourselves that we can achieve our goals and doing so at a higher standard than usual. If you desire your team and/or others to raise their standards, it is much easier to lead by example and then have them follow your standards.
You are very much as part of your team as anyone else even as a leader. If you are not at the standard, you expect of your team then being open to learning new things and growth should always be on your mind. Your passion and leadership should always be to the best of your abilities. If you expect more of others than yourself then your approach may be coming across as inauthentic. Being a team player will create a feeling of integrity.
A great example of this is how habits stem from our childhood role models. Children often learn from their parents’ interactions and habits rather than words of being told how to do something or what to do. As young impressionable people, we learn and create habits from “seeing and witnessing” rather than just being told something. That’s why our approach and techniques should always be open-minded & evolve to suit the many incredible people we are lucky enough to work with.
Key 3
Having complete trust in your Leadership.
Do you believe that you are a great leader? Do you trust in your ability to lead yourself and others in life and business? Trust in me that this is the most important piece. Assuming that as you are reading this article you desire to enhance your leadership skills, or you might be questioning your abilities. If you have a good heart and pure intentions, so much can be achieved.
When you are doing your best and showing up to the best of your abilities, that in itself is enough. Of course, there’s always room for improvement and we can never get too complacent. But the more you enhance your skills the less frustrated you will find yourself. Again, leading back to the idea of being open to growth.
We get better by taking action and learning. You’ve already taken the first step by reading this article and having the ambition to enhance your leadership skills. Trust that you are doing more than enough and that your desire for growth and knowledge are already making you a better and better leader in life and business each and every day.
With a drive for success, passion, and leadership alone you can achieve anything. Remember that there are no perfect leaders after all!
We are all only human and doing the best we can every single day. Affirm with me, I am a great leader and I learn new things every day. With each and every day I become a better version of myself and better in abilities to lead not only myself but others.
