What is choosing hope? Life is a continuous flow of experiences. Life does not always go our way, the way we want it to be. There are times when we find ourselves in situations where we are confused and helpless. This makes us lose hope for ourselves and our future.
Let’s choose hope in times of adversity. Let’s try hope as a valuable option for tough challenges. Let’s resort to hope when life appears difficult. Let’s take refuge in hope when you feel lost in life. Let hope overrun fear. Let hope win over hopelessness. Let hope be the guiding principle in all roles of life. Let’s always hope for the better.
Understanding Hope?
Hope is looking at the brighter side of life and seeing challenges as an opportunity. Hope is a desire to change for the better. Hope is the power that gives a person the confidence to step out and try. Hope is choosing a goal that improves life and makes it better. Hope is believing in something you cannot see yet but can conceive it. Hope is a firm thought that whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. Hope believes that good things will happen to you through faith in a higher power.
Misconceptions of hope
Hope is not overconfidence. At times, your level of confidence is much higher than your level of competence. Mind can create overconfidence. E.g., traveling without proper arrangements, or participating in a Marathon without formal training. It is essential to have the right assessment of our own qualities, our talents and not give into ego-based beliefs leading to over-confidence.
Why hope is important?
Hope can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we can believe tomorrow can be better, we can take on hardship today. Hope makes you try new things and identify what worked and what did not work. You see failure as a learning opportunity and genuine feedback for your effort. Hope is a chance to change your approach and try once again.
Hope helps you identify how you want your life to become and stay focused on what you want. Where there is hope, you can focus on your chosen activity with enthusiasm. Hope has the potential to help us make better choices. If we believe tomorrow is better, we can bear the hardship today.
Hope can be the Cure
Negative emotions drain our hope; Research highlights that our immune system is physically linked to the sympathetic nervous system. The study underscored that entertaining positive thoughts has great potential for fighting chronic diseases due to the increased circulation of healing hormones and chemical elements in the body. Through positive emotions and ideas such as the will to survive, our immune system fights and supports us.
How to be more hopeful
Surround yourself with people who are thinking positively. You are what you are surrounded with. Always surround yourself with people who have hope and live life with enthusiasm. Let tough situations be another challenge to be dealt with. others remind them of these good things to society, it helps them keep the hope to better themselves. Be persistent and do not give up your pursuit. Having patience is one of the top qualities of success. You are patient enough to wait for success and not desperate to win. Consistent in process and patient in results – giving 100% and seeing things through their logical conclusion. Do something that excites your Intellect- walking in nature, listening to music, attending an inspirational lecture, reading a profound book- it will give you a new perspective in life… A potential of hope makes you do great things.
Set a plan and pursue your goal. You can measure your progress which accelerates your hope. Have a gratitude list that is always updated. It makes you aware every day of the countless blessings bestowed upon you.
