-What motivated you to create 3SA?
I saw a big gap in the real estate market in and around Marbella where no other agency had taken the market for entrepreneurs and working people in high positions, as only buying broker. I came from an industry in media and TV working with only these people so it felt perfect for me to take this position in the real estate market.
–And what are some of the goals the company stands for?
Our focus is to meet every client’s expectations. Our aim however, is to surpass them. We also work only as buying brokers so we are 100 % on our client’s side from start to finish, and also after the purchase.
-What according to you are some qualities a leader in the business world should have?
I think that a good leader, first of all should inspire others in the team and allow them to take their own path with their working tasks. All people are different and if you really want to create a unique company you have to let your team work on their own, but still of course within the company’s values and mission.
-Were there any requests made by a client which seemed difficult to meet their expectations?
I don´t see it that way. I see all clients as opportunities for us to create something unique for them. Our job is to listen to the client’s needs and then surpass their expectations. Some deals tend to be more complicated, but that´s what we are here for and that´s what drives me when I wake up in the morning. Happy clients give us new clients. It´s that simple. Hard work pays off, always.
-Due to the current situation, how were you able to keep your business afloat and yourself productive?
We did have a couple of really tough weeks when the lockdown came. I would say that it was worst possible timing for us in particular because we had many big investments in the pipeline. But my team was working 24/7 especially with the marketing so we took market shares during the last 3 months and now I feel that we are stronger than before.
-Were you ever in a position where you felt lost, had no focus and felt like giving up when certain obstacles fell in your way?
No. But moving to another country many years ago alone is not easy. All people who have done this are aware and can resonate with what you must be going through. Today it is the best decision I´ve taken in my life. This is paradise in so many ways.
-What a piece of advice would you give to the younger generation who have aspirations to get in or start a real estate business of their own?
Make a good plan. And save lots of money before you start. Focus on the client and not on your own wishes, needs or commission. In the end, the only thing matters is the satisfaction of your clients. Don´t start a business and focus on next year. Set a 3-year plan and stick to that. You can´t win every race but if you aim to win the marathon you will.
