There is something incredibly cinematic about arriving at Padmaa. One moment you are surrounded by the noise, colors, and organized chaos of Jaipur’s old city — rickshaws weaving through narrow streets, market stalls overflowing with textiles and spices, the constant rhythm of daily life — and the next, you step through an unassuming heritage doorway into complete stillness.

Hidden deep within the historic Pink City, Padmaa feels less like a hotel and more like a private residence that has quietly existed for generations. Originally owned by a family of jewelers, the haveli has been carefully restored into an intimate boutique property while preserving the character and soul of old Jaipur. And that authenticity is exactly what makes it so special.

No two rooms here are the same. Every suite has its own personality, blending antique furniture, handcrafted décor, vintage artwork, carved arches, soft fabrics, and traditional Rajasthani details. The design never feels staged or overly polished — instead, it feels deeply personal, warm, and lived-in.

One of the things I loved most about Padmaa is how naturally the hotel immerses guests into Jaipur’s culture. Throughout the stay, the property offers beautiful experiences, including pottery workshops and traditional bangle-making sessions with local artisans. These small moments create a much deeper connection to the city beyond sightseeing.

Another unforgettable touch is the hotel’s complimentary open rickshaw tour through Jaipur. Guests are taken around the Pink City in Padmaa’s beautifully customized rickshaw, which somehow makes exploring Jaipur feel both nostalgic and incredibly stylish at the same time.
The atmosphere throughout the property feels intimate and relaxed. Unlike larger luxury hotels, where service can sometimes feel formal or distant, everything at Padmaa feels genuinely personal.

The rooftop quickly became another favorite corner of the property. Hidden above the busy streets below, it offers a peaceful escape with a small but cute swimming pool and a charming rooftop bar overlooking Jaipur’s endless pink-toned skyline. In the evenings, the entire atmosphere transforms as lanterns glow softly and live musicians perform traditional music for guests. Sitting there at sunset with the sounds of Rajasthan filling the air felt incredibly magical.

The culinary experience at Padmaa is equally thoughtful. The hotel focuses primarily on vegetarian cuisine, celebrating both local Rajasthani flavors and dishes from other regions. I highly recommend trying the traditional Rajasthani Thali — a beautifully curated selection of regional dishes served together as a feast of flavors, colors, and textures.

Breakfasts at Padmaa were equally memorable — fresh, thoughtfully curated, and beautifully presented each morning, with everything from seasonal fruits and traditional Indian dishes to perfectly prepared eggs made to order.
I also enjoyed the hotel’s tiny spa. While compact, it perfectly matches the spirit of the property itself — intimate, calming, and deeply personal. After long days exploring Jaipur’s vibrant streets, the massages felt wonderfully restorative.

Padmaa may not compete with Jaipur’s grand palace hotels in size or extravagance, but that is precisely its charm. What it offers instead is authenticity, warmth, and the rare feeling that for a few days, you are not simply visiting Jaipur — you are truly living inside it.
