Vehicle architecture is one of the most important features in any car, and in the Lotus Eletre, it is one of the best features. The Eletre car is constructed using a brand-new, integrated high-voltage power distribution system and 800v dedicated to the electric vehicle architecture.
Several thought-through ideas were applied to provide the best experience ever to the architecture of the vehicle, as the following; to be able to achieve the highest level of structural rigidity, this outstanding architecture combines high tensile steel and aluminum, in order to achieve a low center of gravity and uphold the basic Lotus commitment of exceptional dynamic performance, the flat “skateboard-style” battery pack and electric motors are placed near to the ground. The battery pack’s high energy density offers the ideal blend of driving range and performance. Finally, two electric motors are present, one driving the front wheels and the second one the other the back wheels. A three-in-one electric drive system, a very Lotus solution, combines each motor with a controller and reducer.
