LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW
Lakrids is a story of dreams coming to fruition. Originated in Denmark, Johan Bülow always had a desire to create something larger than himself. He started drifting towards a Scandinavian favorite, liquorice, and in 2007 he decided to introduce to the world his confections creation. The first shop opened in Svanaeke, and Bülow’s idea was to cook the liquorice in the house, making sure everyone within a 100-meter radius could smell his new work. His plan worked, people flocked towards his small shop, selling out the entire batch and even the sample bowl on the counter! He now had his first customers hooked. Then in 2009, the most popular product was born, an impossible feat to most, a liquorice candy coated in chocolate soon saw the light of day, and there has been no turning back ever since.
In 2017 Lakrid celebrated a decade of being open, and it is easy to see why.
