The Zonda HP Barchetta has been manufactured by Pagani, an Italian sports cars manufacturer founded in 1992. Typically, “Zonda” is the regional term used for the hot air that comes from the polar maritime air and blows above the eastern slope of the Andes, in Argentina; and “HP” stands for “Horacio Pagani”, who is also the founder of Pagani Automobili. The Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta was produced as a 60th birthday present for Horacio Pagani, and also marked the 18th anniversary of the Zonda series as it unveiled at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is capable of travelling up to a lightning speed of 355 km/h (221 mph), which has been made possible with the help of a 789 hp (588 kW) engine. Due to its lightning speed and powerful engine, the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is also regarded as the most powerful road legal Zonda ever produced.
The Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta has been assembled in Modena, Italy; and has been designed by the founder of Pagani Automobili, Horacio Pagani himself. With a lot of emphasis dedicated towards dynamic performance, unmatched handling, top speed, and the thrill of driving that the car has to offer to its drivers, the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is classified as a sports car.
“Only 3 units have been produced so far”
Although the Zonda series has produced high performance super-cars one after the other ever since 1999, when it debuted at the Geneva Motor Show; but the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta for sure stands out with its unique body style of a roofless 2 door Barchetta; “Barchetta” being an Italian word that refers to a “small boat”. Moreover, the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta has got the layout of a rear mid engine, rear wheel drive, which is an automotive design which causes the rear wheels to be driven by an engine placed just in front of them, i.e. behind the passenger compartment.

Furthermore, having been known for being the most powerful road legal car produced in the Zonda series, what really makes it the muscular beast it is its powerful 7.3 L Mercedes Benz M297 V12 engine. Adding on to the wonderful driving experience the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta offers to its drivers is its 6 speed sequential transmission system, which is a semi automatic transmission system where a part of the operation is automated, but the driver’s input is still required to start from a standstill, and to manually change gears.

The Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta costs between 15,000,000 Dollars to 17,000,000 Dollars, and only 3 units have been produced so far, out of which one of them belongs to Horacio Pagani himself. The Zonda series has produced over 140 units so far, some of them being one of the most iconic special edition cars in the world, such as, Monza, Uno, HH, Absolute Evo, PS, GJ, and the Roadster F Club Sport Final Edition; all of them, like every other Zonda series supercar, being built out of Carbon Fiber, due to its high stiffness and strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion.
