Oceanco has presented the concept of its new luxury yacht KAIROS just recently. This is not just a new concept for a super-expensive yacht. Oceanco KAIROS is a new stage in the history of yachts. It is a new superyacht created in collaboration with Italian design studio Pininfarina and Lateral (responsible for the technical design). They undoubtedly managed to make a really stunning, and most importantly, futuristic yacht. The yacht was developed based on the Oceanco NXT sustainability initiative. This initiative is what sets this yacht apart from all the previous ones.
«Oceanco NXT sustainability initiative » is the answer to the question: – What is the future of the superyacht industry, and what kind of mindset do we need to adapt to create it? This issue was raised by Peter Economides of Felix BNI at the Oceanco meeting on October 20, 2020. Oceanco NXT is a new vector of development, a new initiative that offers to set new benchmarks by joining forces for a future of yachting. The KAIROS yacht is remarkable for its status. It is the status of a new evolutionary stage in the development of yacht creation.
KAIROS was developed on the basis of an E-Hybrid propulsion system that uses batteries. The name of the yacht in translation from ancient Greek means “time,” the creators wanted to emphasize the power of this concept and what it is capable of when combining efforts to create a common goal.
Oceanco’s CEO Marcel Onkenhout has left his comments on this release: «KAIROS is a remarkable vision shared by three passionate, forward-thinking partners: Pininfarina, Lateral and Oceanco.
