Elie Saab is one of the world´s famous designers, known by celebrities and fashion industry insiders. Saab was born in Lebanon, meanwhile the Lebanese civil war was happening, the designer as a fashion prodigy held his first show and opened his first atelier. One of his main production centers remains in Beirut, a place that is close to his heart. His passion as a fashion creator started since his childhood, he is an autodidactic that learned how to sew beautiful gowns that impressed his family and friends. He moved to Paris in 1981, the cradle of many designers to study fashion design.
In 1997, he introduced his first collection outside of his country in Rome. Saab was the first Arab that became a member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture.
In 1998, he presented his first line to be use in Milan and a fashion show in Monaco, that was attended by the princess Stephanie of Monaco. He was the first Lebanese designer to dress an Oscar-winner actress Halle Berry in 2002 with a flower-embroidered burgundy dress, a big milestone for his career.
The Queen Rania of Jordan chose to wear Elie Saab for her coronation. A dress with embroidery made of emeralds and diamonds, worth more than $2 million. An election full of class, a masterpiece that will never disappoint to the high-level requirements of the event.
