Arriving at Perdue Hotel didn’t feel like entering a place that belonged to the familiar world. There was no grand entrance, no oversized signage announcing my arrival. Instead, I found myself wandering through lush Mediterranean gardens, following narrow stone pathways shaded by fragrant trees and flowering plants. Every turn seemed to reveal another hidden corner: a hammock suspended beneath the trees, a beautifully designed lounge tucked among the greenery, or a quiet terrace overlooking the endless blue of the Mediterranean. It felt less like checking into a hotel and more like discovering a secret garden that only a fortunate few know exists.

That sense of privacy is perhaps Perdue’s greatest luxury.
With just 17 suites, the adults-only retreat never feels busy. There is no background noise, no crowds competing for the best view, no pressure to follow a schedule. Instead, everything unfolds at its own gentle pace, allowing nature to become the main attraction.

One of the details I loved most was that nothing here feels uniform. Even the sunbeds seem to have their own personalities. Some overlook the sea from wooden decks carved into the cliffs, others are hidden among gardens beneath swaying trees. Every corner has been thoughtfully designed with its own character, making the property feel almost like a fairy tale brought to life rather than a conventional luxury hotel.

Perdue is part of the Soulsetters Collection, a hospitality group built around slow living, privacy, and meaningful experiences immersed in nature. Unlike many luxury brands, however, these ideas never feel like marketing slogans here—they simply become the way you naturally begin to live after a few hours on the property.

I stayed in one of the hotel’s highest room categories, complete with a private plunge pool overlooking the Mediterranean. The suite immediately reminded me why Perdue is often described as one of Turkey’s pioneering luxury glamping concepts.

From the outside, the accommodation resembles an elegant tent, but inside it offers every comfort expected from a world-class boutique hotel. Air conditioning, luxurious linens, refined furnishings, spacious bathrooms, and beautifully curated design details create an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and wonderfully relaxed.
Most of my time was spent outdoors.

My private terrace quickly became my favorite place to begin and end each day. Early mornings started with coffee beside the plunge pool as the sea slowly changed from soft silver to brilliant blue. Evenings ended with a glass of wine while watching the sun disappear beyond the horizon. There are very few hotel rooms that make you reluctant to leave them. This was certainly one of them.
Food plays an equally important role in the Perdue experience.

Every morning began with an abundant breakfast featuring fresh seasonal produce, traditional Turkish specialties, homemade pastries, local cheeses, fruit, and eggs prepared to order. Breakfast never felt rushed. It became another excuse to slow down while looking out across the coastline.
Dining at Perdue Restaurant was equally memorable.

Inspired by Mediterranean cuisine with Italian influences, the menu celebrates fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients, many of them grown within the Soulsetters gardens themselves. Every dish arrived beautifully presented without ever feeling overly complicated. Combined with panoramic sea views and the golden colors of sunset, dinner became one of those evenings you secretly hope will last a little longer.
Although Perdue encourages relaxation, it also offers experiences that invite guests to reconnect with themselves in unexpected ways.

One afternoon I booked a massage, which proved to be the perfect antidote to weeks of constant travel. Another evening I joined the hotel’s open-air cinema, watching a film beneath a sky filled with stars—a wonderfully romantic experience that somehow felt both nostalgic and completely unique.

Guests can also explore their personalities through private astrology and element analysis sessions, join guided hikes along the spectacular Lycian Way, participate in art therapy, or simply spend the afternoon doing absolutely nothing beside the infinity pool.
And somehow, doing nothing never feels like wasted time here.
One unexpected advantage of staying at Perdue is discovering the wider Soulsetters world.

Guests are welcome to spend time at nearby Nautical Hotel, Perdue’s sister property, where beautiful stone houses blend into the surrounding landscape with the same emphasis on privacy and tranquility. Its beach offers a slightly different atmosphere, making it well worth visiting for an afternoon.

Just beyond Nautical lies Rups Beach Club—arguably one of the most spectacular beach clubs in the Fethiye region. Set against dramatic coastal scenery, it combines excellent cocktails, vibrant music, and one of the most beautiful sunset settings along this stretch of the Turkish Riviera. Reservations are highly recommended, especially during the summer months.

If I had one recommendation for future visitors, however, it would be to extend the journey beyond land altogether.
Soulsetters also operates Blue Voyage, a collection of fully crewed private yachts exploring hidden bays and secluded coves along Turkey’s Mediterranean coastline. After spending several days embracing the peaceful rhythm of Perdue, boarding a yacht feels like the most natural continuation imaginable.

Personally, I would recommend spending three or four nights at Perdue before setting sail for another three or four nights aboard one of the yachts. Few regions reward slow exploration quite like the coastline around Fethiye, where turquoise bays, dramatic cliffs, and quiet anchorages reveal themselves one after another.

Long after I checked out, what stayed with me wasn’t a particular suite, a single meal, or even the breathtaking sea views.
It was a feeling.
A feeling of waking up surrounded by gardens instead of schedules. Of wandering through winding paths with no destination in mind. Of watching the Mediterranean change colors from my private terrace. Of discovering a hotel where luxury isn’t measured by excess but by silence, space, beauty, and time.

Perdue doesn’t simply offer an escape.
It quietly reminds you what it feels like to slow down—and how wonderful that can be.
