In a city known for its gilded evenings and unapologetic glamour, June 1st at Adaline Dubai still managed to feel like something entirely new. Not merely another night out — but a layered immersion into scent, spectacle, and soulful storytelling. The occasion? The highly anticipated launch of Désir de Nuit, the first fragrance by French bon vivant Nicolas Brochet in collaboration with the astrological perfume house Maison Douze. With Chic Icon as the official media partner, and curated with precision by Kristina Mezhynskaya, Editor-in-Chief of ELLEDGY, the evening was equal parts debut and declaration.

Adaline Dubai, nestled in the heart of DIFC, played its role to perfection. A red carpet shimmered. A signature brand wall was staged like a modern altar to sensuality. And the air, already laced with expectation, was soon saturated with something far more intimate — the scent of cosmic desire.

Brochet, a hospitality luminary with two decades of globe-spanning experience, is no stranger to orchestrating atmospheres. Paris, Saint-Tropez, now Dubai — each city has offered a canvas for his pursuit of beauty, pleasure, and poetic immersion. But this night was personal. Alongside Maison Douze’s founder Samer Zakharia, Brochet introduced Désir de Nuit — a nocturnal fragrance born of astrology, mysticism, and the human longing for transformation. The perfume, rich with symbolism and sensuality, is not just to be worn but lived. A second fragrance is promised for September.

Maison Douze, after all, is no typical perfume house. Founded in 2018 and rooted in the celestial poetry of the zodiac’s twelfth house, it resurrects ancient rites — perfume as offering, as invocation. Zakharia’s vision is metaphysical: scent not as adornment, but as spiritual technology.

The evening unfolded in acts: a soaring performance by vocalist Alexandra Oz., avant-garde movement art by Kaehla and the CLSTL Council, and a fashion-forward flourish from Italian bespoke house Satoria Rossi. As DJ Midimi’s set cracked open the night’s final act, Adaline pulsed with an energy that blurred the line between the launch party and modern ritual.

Beyond the fragrance, the real reveal was what’s to come. Beginning September 2025, Adaline Dubai will premiere its weekly Show Nights — curated evenings of dining and performance, promising to weave elegance, intimacy, and emotion into Dubai’s nightlife tapestry.
If Désir de Nuit is any indication, we’re in for a heady, hypnotic season.
