In the ever-evolving landscape of Dubai’s hospitality scene, few figures stand out prominently as Nicolas Brochet. A Parisian by birth, Brochet has seamlessly woven his French heritage and International expertise into the vibrant tapestry of Dubai’s luxury sector. With over two decades of experience, he has been instrumental in launching and managing some of the world’s most renowned establishments.
Recently, Chic Icon had the pleasure of sitting down with Brochet to discuss his latest venture: Sirene Beach by Gaia opened by Evgeny Kuzin and Fundamental Hospitality, poised to redefine opulent beachside experiences in Dubai.

Chic Icon: Nicolas, it’s wonderful to have you in Dubai. Could you share a bit about your background and your recent International endeavors?
Nicolas Brochet: Thank you, Alina. It’s always a joy to be in Dubai. My journey began in Paris, a city synonymous with elegance and gastronomy, but I’ve been traveling a lot to get inspiration and open vision for my projects. Places like Tulum, Capri, Ibiza, Mykonos, etc. has shaped my business vision and inspired me in many ways. Over the past eleven years, Dubai has become my second home, captivating me with its dynamism and charm. While France remains dear to me, my focus has shifted towards hospitality projects in Dubai and beyond.
Chic Icon: That’s fascinating. Tell us about your new project here in Dubai.
Nicolas Brochet: I’m thrilled to introduce Sirene Beach by Gaia, which was opened at J1 Beach in Jumeirah in December 2025. Spanning over 9,000 square meters, it’s designed to be the Middle East’s largest beach club. With a 400-seat restaurant, 300 sunbeds, and luxurious private cabanas, Sirene offers an unparalleled blend of Mediterranean elegance and Dubai’s signature opulence. Opened just 1 month ago, it already became Middle Eastern number one beach club.
Chic Icon: The scale is impressive. What unique experiences can guests expect at Sirene by Gaia?
Nicolas Brochet: Beyond its size, Sirene is crafted as a multi-zoned space, featuring hidden bars, a stunning swimming pool, and a seamless flow from dining areas to the beach. Chef Izu Ani, renowned for his culinary artistry, has curated a menu that celebrates the essence of Greek-Mediterranean cuisine, emphasizing fresh seafood and seasonal produce. Our aim is to create an atmosphere where guests feel as though they’re on a luxurious holiday, even if just for a few hours.
Chic Icon: With numerous beach clubs emerging in Dubai, how does Sirene by Gaia distinguish itself?
Nicolas Brochet: Dubai’s burgeoning beach club scene is a testament to its growth as a premier destination. At Sirene, we focus on creating a holistic experience that marries exceptional cuisine, captivating ambiance, and personalized service. Our collaboration with Chef Izu ensures a dining experience that’s both authentic and innovative. Moreover, the design, inspired by the allure of the Greek islands, offers guests a serene yet vibrant environment.
Chic Icon: Fundamental Hospitality, the group behind Sirene by Gaia, has been expanding rapidly. Could you shed light on this growth?
Nicolas Brochet: Indeed, Fundamental Hospitality has been on an ambitious trajectory. Gaia, which originated in Dubai, has successfully expanded to locations like London, Monaco, and Marbella. We’re excited to announce upcoming openings in Miami this September, with plans for Ibiza and Saint-Tropez on the horizon. Our vision is to bring the essence of Gaia and other brands to discerning guests worldwide.

Chic Icon: Dubai has been your home for over a decade. How do you envision your future here?
Nicolas Brochet: Dubai offers an unparalleled quality of life, especially for families. With the recent addition of a new member to my family, I can’t think of a better place to raise children, given the city’s safety, excellent schools, and myriad activities. Professionally, I’m committed to furthering our ventures with Fundamental Hospitality and exploring new opportunities that align with Dubai’s vibrant growth.
Chic Icon: Beyond your hospitality projects, are there other initiatives you’re passionate about?
Nicolas Brochet: Absolutely. I’m deeply committed to women’s empowerment. A decade ago, I founded the International Tunis Film Festival, one of the first festivals dedicated to women in cinema. Inspired by that experience, I’m planning a significant event in Dubai next November, aiming to bring together the most influential and creative women from the Middle East to foster dialogue and collaboration.
Chic Icon: What drives your dedication to women’s empowerment?
Nicolas Brochet: I’ve always believed that women bring a unique and invaluable perspective to every field. In the hospitality industry, the success of a venue often hinges on its appeal to women. Their appreciation for ambiance, design, and service sets the standard. More broadly, I advocate for a world where women’s contributions are recognized and celebrated, leading to a more harmonious and prosperous society.
Chic Icon: What changes are you observing in Dubai?
Nicolas Brochet: Dubai’s evolution is perpetual and inspiring. Each year reveals new developments, greener landscapes, and initiatives aimed at enhancing residents’ well-being. The city’s vision for 2040, emphasizing sustainability and quality of life, is evident in its rapid yet thoughtful growth. The influx of diverse, talented individuals further enriches the community, making Dubai a melting pot of innovation and culture.
Chic Icon: It’s evident that Dubai holds a special place in your heart. We look forward to witnessing the continued success of your ventures here.
Nicolas Brochet: Thank you, Alina. I’m excited for the future and the opportunity to contribute to Dubai’s dynamic landscape.
