The “Hanukkah Miracle” gala evening in honor of the sacred holiday of Hanukkah, which unites people in love and light miracles was held on December 22nd, 2022 at the Four Seasons hotel in Dubai for the first time, and Chic Icon is proud to announce we were part of it as the official media partner.
People have been burning lamps in celebration of Hanukkah for millennia as a way of praising God for His provision, protection, and miracles. More than 250 guests attended the event at the Four Seasons, which stands for the triumph of light over darkness and demonstrates spiritual fortitude.
The Senior Rabbi of the Jewish Council of the Emirates in the United Arab Emirates, Rabbi Elie Abadi, began the evening by saying: “Hanukkah is celebrated by Jews around the world as a holiday of joy and hope, as a time of celebration and gratitude. The candles lit in every window remind us that God will always protect us from the darkness.” After the opening remarks, Elie Abadi lit the first candle at “Hanukkah Miracle”, the special holiday candlelight.
Yoka Iizuka, the Owner & CEO of Yoka Iizuka Jewellery House underlined how happy she was to see everyone there celebrating Hanukkah in her opening remarks. Yoka Iizuka stressed how crucial it is for people to stick together, grow closer, and spread love and light right now, at this trying time. Mrs. Iizuka reaffirmed her love for Russia, wished everyone in attendance blessings, peace, love, happiness, and kindness, and expressed gratitude to the team that worked to put the event together. We at Chic Icon are happy to join her wonderful speech.
Laura Gavrilova and Judith Sorkin, who were in attendance as representatives of the First Jewish Women Congress, wished the guests a happy and hopeful holiday and pointed out that it is customary for Jews to light candles rather than use “sticks” to fight the darkness, as the great rabbis instructed and taught, in order to promote peace and love. On this joyous Hanukkah holiday, Ms. Gavrilova and Ms. Sorkin sent their best wishes to all of their loved ones.
Irina Markov-Shagal is a well-known Israeli artist, and Alexandra Timorina, a representative of “Alexandra Gallery Dubai,” gave Mrs. Iizuka and Mrs. Sorkin two original paintings of Irina. Alexandra stressed how important it was for Irina to honor the “Hanukkah Miracle” celebration that was observed in the UAE even from a distance. Ballet dancers completed the event by demonstrating national dances to well-known Jewish music for the audience.
