For the first time in Davos and during the World Economic Forum 2022, Davos is becoming a part of a historical mixed reality event. Under the theme “The Future is Now”, Emerging Technologies Invest Hub and co-host MetaverseTalks are hosting a unique event on the 26th of May with Chic Icon as the Official Media Partner. It is all about NFTs and Metaverse with renowned speakers and panelists.
On the last day of the WEF in Davos, the NFT & Metaverse event will take place at Promenade 63. Influential speakers from finance, legal, art and the luxury industries will join impactful panel discussions. Between the panels, the audience can expect exciting showcases from companies like Pax. World, Adresta, Metabloqs, and GOGO.
Banking & Metaverse
In the past six months, the metaverse has gained market traction across industries, including the banking sector as well. Several banks are entering the Metaverse to connect with younger generations as well as to gain a better understanding of virtual worlds. Through the metaverse, banks hope to attract new customers and potentially create new business models and products. The first panel discussion will be together with Megha Shrestha, founder, and CEO at Metabloqs and SA, Bank of Riyadh, moderated by Kumar Chatterjee.
NFT Valuation, Legal, and Business Considerations
The Metaverse is becoming a confluence of technologies and business models. Many companies are jumping into NFTs and Metaverse but do not have a full understanding of all the possible business and legal issues. It is important to get an understanding of the potential business and legal issues that could come up within a Metaverse implementation project or participation, as well as the various technical and business elements. In the second panel discussion, Cedric Ming, Co-Founder of MetaverseTalks, and Caroline Taylor, Founder of Appraisal Bureau will discuss the NFT valuation as well as legal and business considerations, moderated by Jasmin Karatas.
The event series NFTs & Metaverse ends on Thursday evening with a closing party with star DJ Dean from Stil & Taktvoll.
