We at Chic Icon invite you to the most exciting adventure of your lifetime! Imagine to plow the boundless expanses of the Arctic Ocean on the most powerful ship in the world – the nuclear icebreaker “50 years of Victory”. A well deserved escape after challenging COVID -19 times.
Reaching the very top of the planet Earth is for many travelers a much-anticipated moment and, consequently, incredibly emotional. Some people are overcome with the realization that they’re standing in a place – at the very top of the world – where only a privileged few have been able to set foot. (Only about 1,000 people per year travel to the North Pole.) It’s no wonder that travelers toast their arrival at the North Pole with a glass of champagne.
Chic Icon has partnered with the Official Tourism Board Of Murmansk (the Northern region of Russia) VisitMurmansk to offer you an amazing adventure to the top of the planet, the North Pole. The North Pole cruise expedition starts in Murmansk and lasts 13 days. During the trip you will get a chance to see polar bears and arctic foxes, you’ll get access to helicopter and air balloon tours, interesting lectures and most importantly you’ll stand at the very top of the world – 90° North.

50 Years of Victory: Journey on an ice-breaker
The nuclear-powered ice-breaker 50 Years of Victory is an integral part of the North Pole experience. The iconic 50 Years of Victory is the first Arktika-class icebreaker to be built with a spoon-shaped bow, capable of breaking through ice up to 3 meters thick. This is one of the world’s largest, most-powerful nuclear icebreakers. 50 Years of Victory, which is equipped with an onboard helicopter, is a ship unlike any other and is able to go where other vessels cannot. 50 Years of Victory is a working ship that spends nine months of the year keeping Siberian shipping lanes open for merchant vessels. During the Arctic summer the ship – with fine dining amenities, well-appointed cabins, library, bar, lounge and presentation spaces – carries travelers safely throughout the Arctic.

Wild nature
Polar bears and Arctic foxes are among the few animal species that occasionally migrate to the North Pole. The drifting ice is an unpredictable habitat. The constant shifting of the ice means there are no regular migration routes nor any means to establish dens to raise young.
The undersea ecosystem of the North Pole is more varied than what’s found above the ice. Shrimp, sea anemones, and tiny crustaceans live below the ice surface and provide food for Arctic cod. A few ringed seals (food for the occasional polar bear that wanders through) are sometimes sighted. Larger marine mammals, such as narwhal whales, have been observed but such sightings are rare. Birds are frequent visitors to the North Pole. The Arctic tern, which has the longest annual migration of any species on the planet, spends its spring and summer in the Arctic, though rarely as far north as the North Pole. Other migratory birds observed at the North Pole include the small snow bunting, gull-like fulmars and kittiwakes.

Hot Air Balloon Rides
A tethered hot-air balloon (that rises 30 metres above the ice) enables North Pole visitors to get a bird-s-eye view of the snow-capped ice ridges, massive crevices, turquoise melt pools and ice-covered terrain that stretch beyond the horizon. Floating over the top of the world in silence is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Helicopter Flightseeing
50 Years of Victory’s dedicated helicopter enables North Pole visitors to soar above the vast icy landscapes and truly appreciate the magnitude of the seldom-visited North Pole.

ROUTE
Day 1. Murmansk
The route of our unique cruise begins in Murmansk. Upon arrival in Murmansk, a transfer will take you to the hotel in the city center (a night in the hotel is included in the price of the program). Today you can independently explore this largest city in the world, located beyond the Arctic Circle.
Day 2. Murmansk, the icebreaker boarding
In the afternoon, we board the world’s most powerful ship – the nuclear icebreaker “50 Years of Victory”. After some time, we leave the mainland and go into the deep sea to meet the polar adventures of your lifetime.

Day 3-6. Heading to the North Pole
The days are full of activities – we have a lot to do before conquering the Pole. Our polar experts will tell you about the most interesting features of the Arctic. From open decks, we observe how 75 thousand horsepower of the atomic icebreaker “50 Years of Victory” triumphantly paves the way through 3-meter thick ice. A captain’s bridge is open for you!
Activity is not limited by a theoretical study of the Arctic. As soon as the weather permits, we will organize ice landings and helicopter flights over the icebreaker going in the ice and the Arctic islands. Just imagine amazing pictures you can take!
Day 7. The North Pole: we are on the top of the planet!
While approaching the pole, the captain slowly maneuvers a huge icebreaker to “put” the ship at a point of 90 ° N, coordinates of the geographic North Pole. Congratulations, we are on top of the world!

All meridians converge in this place: wherever you look, everywhere is south. Here the whole world will be at your feet – literally. Take the shortest round-the-world trip – after all, for this it is enough to go around the point 90 ° N. Arrange the most northern photo shoot on the planet against the background of an icebreaker. Take a dip in the waters of the Arctic Ocean. There will also be a polar barbecue and dancing.
Day 8-10. Exploring the islands of the Russian Arctic.
These days we are exploring one of the most inaccessible regions of the Arctic – the Franz Josef Land archipelago. The territory of Franz Josef Land belongs to the Russian Arctic national park. On the open spaces of the islands, polar bears feel like full owners. We can meet these “owners of the Arctic” at any time anywhere in the archipelago. A 24-hour polar day allows us to use every opportunity to observe the unique wildlife.
Tikhaya Bay is known for the well-preserved buildings of the first Soviet polar station. The base of the Russian Arctic National Park is also located here. You will also have an opportunity to send a postcard to friends from the world’s northernmost post office.

Day 11-12. Barents Sea.
Our icebreaker is heading to Murmansk. One of the days we will hold the final photo presentation – we invite you to experience the most impressive moments of the trip again. You are also invited to the dinner with the captain.
Day 13. Murmansk, disembarkation.
We return to the port of Murmansk, where our journey began. But a lot has changed over these days – now you belong to a select group of travelers who managed to see the whole world from the top of the planet.
Our journey is over. After breakfast, you will be disembarked and transfer to the airport.
Price: starting from $ 30, 995 USD (per person)
