For 150 years, Boucheron has been an emblem of luxury and sophistication when it comes to watches and jewelry. Founded in France by Boucheron’s family dynasty, the business has been developing different collections with pieces preferred by royal families, high class and celebrities such as Alessandra Ambrossio. This year, Boucheron launched their most exceptional and pure collection, “Contemplation” that could be considered as the most cherished expression of high jewelry ever created by the brand. Claire Choisne, the creative director, did a fantastic job creating the ideas for this collection, because it is gorgeous and risky when it comes to techniques and elements behind every piece, but turning out to be one of their best collections.
According to Boucheron, the collection is inspired by nature: a raindrop, clouds, wind, feathers and the blue sky, concluding with jewelry that contemplates simplicity and peaceful moments in edgy but classy pieces.
Nuage en Apesanteur Necklace
After two years of developing a piece with a complex structure of more than 10,000 titanium threads and more than 4,000 diamonds, finally Boucheron made the perfect necklace inspired by the clouds. It is delicate, exotic and marvelous. For this reason, this piece goes beyond imagination. The necklace looks like diamonds are flying around the neck, entangled between each other, it is absolutely stunning.
The Murmuration Ear Cuff
Based on aspects of fanciness and differentiation, the brand developed a fabulous earcuff that represents a cloud of birds flying around the ear. Furthermore, this earring is paved with five diamonds in white gold that looks clean and stunning. They also made a brooch that combines with the ear cuff, made out of the same materials, a small bird with open wings, that represents the freedom and beauty of nature. Both pieces are delicate and breathtaking.
Perles de Plume Necklace
Also known as “The question mark necklace” for its shape around the neck, Perles de Plume is the representation of beauty. The necklace is a big peacock feather made out of pearls and diamonds with a white choker. It is elegant and unconventional, and feels like part of the neck of the person that wears it.
The Goutte du Ciel necklace
For this necklace, Boucheron wanted to portray a piece of sky, literally, and they discovered Aerogel, a material that has the lowest density in the world and has the same properties as the sky, as it is made of 99.8% air, which is the reason why the sky is blue and so the necklace. Also, this material is used by NASA to capture stardusts, for this reason the technique for creating this necklace is superior, inserting the Aerogel in a rock crystal, assembling a beautiful piece.
In addition, The Goutte du Ciel, also known as “Sky Drop” in english, is scandalously stunning, this necklace speaks for itself about how fabulous the brand is and the beautifulness of the collection, it is like NASA really captured a stardust.
