If you didn’t already know- Madonna has a luxury skincare line called MDNA SKIN. Is MDNA SKIN line just another made-up celebrity project? Or is it really worth the premium spend? We’ll give you a little insight of what the brand is all about.
The Michigan born & raised, the queen of pop, multiple Grammy winner, and a soccer mom of 6 kids. Now add skin care mogul to Madonna’s titles. MDNA SKIN is an exclusive skincare brand that she originally created for herself and her personal use, which ranged from daily use products to specialized products.
Prior to developing MDNA SKIN, Madonna had to work with skin care products she didn’t like. “So I decided that I wanted to develop a skincare like that I would actually use. That is how it all began.” shares Madonna, who played an active part in every step of the line’s development, from selectively choosing the products ingredients to the sleek, premium packaging.

MDNA skin is about pro-skin health. Taking good care of your skin, which is something Madonna’s sincerely passionate about. The creams, serums and toners in the line are all designed around a blend of four healing thermal waters found in Montecatini, Italy, which is an exclusive ingredient. The thermal water is rich in minerals such as sodium, magnesium and calcium; and has a similar composition to the water in human body, so it penetrates the skin easily, boosts hydration and balances the skin’s pH levels and keep sebum production and cell renewal in check. Legend has it that Roman warriors would bathe in the town’s fountain to heal their skin. Imagine their glowing and radiant skin, imagine the beauty!

Strip the line of its celebrity reputation, and at the primary of its DNA in nature bound by science. Her partners in creating this revolutionary line is MTG, a recognized forerunner in the Japanese beauty care industry known for its product innovation and technical expertise. MDNA skin originally launched in Japan in 2014, with only three products. Now, the 9-product skin care line is not about anti-ageing but about healthy skin and is suitable for anyone and all skin types as it offers customers the topical means to healthy skin.

The MDNA SKIN collection includes the infamous Rejuvenator set with the Chrome Clay Mask, the Rose Mist, The Serum, The finishing cream, the eye-mask & eye cream, and the Onyx Black, a black carbon roller that emits far ultraviolet rays and a few combined kits. The products are priced around $70 to $940. Every single MDNA SKIN product is rigorously used by the star on various parts of her body. The face serum has been tested on the Queen of pop’s knees, elbows and hands, but the most orthodox combination is the use of her Chrome clay mask on her butt. The clay mask, made from the thermal Montecatini water promises to remove impurities from the skin, as per usual clay mask, but the novelty comes from having to use her Skin Rejuvenator cleansing tool to magnetically extract the mask from the skin. The mask alone will cost you $160, and the Skin Rejuvenator another $800.

The rosewater mist is another one of Madonna’s holy grails from her range. It aims to refresh her dehydrated complexion, while the wild and Damascus rose essential oils amp it up to a sensational experience. This prime-time luxury brand has a long way to go, serving us dewy skin for days!
MDNA SKIN is currently available in Japan, Hong Cong, Taiwan, Singapore and the United States.
