The Ferrari Portofino was produced in 2017 and is still being manufactured and assembled in Maranello, Italy. It has been named after the Nothern Italian village Portofino and was designed by Ferrari styling center under the leadership of Italian architect and automobile designer Flavio Manzoni. The Ferrari Portofino was unveiled at the world’s largest motor show, the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, and is classified as a grand tourer due to its long-distance and high-speed driving capabilities as a result of its luxury and performance attributes. Moreover, with two small rear seats for occasional usage, along with two front seats for the driver and front passenger, the car has a body style of a two-door, 2+2 retractable hardtop convertible.

Furthermore, unlike a traditional convertible car, the Ferrari Portofino makes use of an automatically operated, self-storing hardtop instead of a folding textile-based roof. Adding on, with its engine being located at the front of the vehicle and driven wheels located at the rear end of the car, the car has a layout of a front mid-engine, rear-wheel drive. Like any other supercar produced by Ferrari, the Portofino is a symbol of power and speed, which it gains from a 3.9 L Ferrari F154BE engine, which results in a massive power output of 612 Horsepower. While the engine with which the car is equipped has eight-cylinder pistons, shares a common crankshaft, and is arranged in a V configuration, the two turbochargers compress the intake of fuel/air mixture.

In terms of the transmission system, the Ferrari Portofino is equipped with a seven-speed Magna 7DCL dual-clutch transmission system, which makes use of two separate clutches for odd and even gear sets. While the Ferrari Portofino M is equipped with an eight-speed Magna 8DCL900 dual-clutch transmission system, which also makes use of two separate clutches for odd and even gear sets. With a powerful engine, great horsepower, and smooth transmission system, the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 3.5 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h (0 to 124 mph) in 10.8 seconds, and can go up to a mammoth top speed of 320 km/h (199mph). Moreover, the Ferrari Portofino has 35% more structural rigidity as compared to its predecessor, the Ferrari California T, and is 80 kgs lighter, making it a much smoother ride.

Furthermore, despite a stiff suspension system, the Ferrari Portofino is capable of maintaining outstanding ride quality and is equipped with an electrically assisted power steering, which becomes more responsive along with its suspension system when the car is in sports mode, which is an added feature in the car. Adding on to the amazing features offered to the drivers and passengers by the Italian supercars manufacturer, the car has increased legroom, an advanced infotainment system, a 10.2-inch display screen with Apple CarPlay functionality, and an air conditioning system that is 25 percent faster and 50 percent quieter as compared to the one in Ferrari California. In short, the Ferrari Portofino is by far one of the best and most recommended cars to be owned and driven on the road by Ferrari for an unmatched driving experience of true power and high speed.
