There are convertibles — and then there are Volantes. For six decades, the name has embodied the spirit of open-top grand touring at its most elegant. To celebrate this lineage, Q by Aston Martin, the marque’s bespoke division, has unveiled two exquisite anniversary editions — the DB12 Volante and Vanquish Volante — each limited to just 60 examples. Together, they reaffirm Aston Martin’s command of craftsmanship, performance, and quiet British audacity.

The Vanquish Volante is a study in dominance: its hand-assembled 5.2-litre V12 twin-turbo delivers an electrifying 835 PS and 1000 Nm, launching the car to 214 mph. Yet its aggression is tempered by an unmistakable aesthetic grace — from the anodised bronze vaned grille to the satin-finished 21-inch Q wheels. The DB12 Volante, by contrast, is poetry in motion. With 680 PS from its V8 twin-turbo and a top speed of 202 mph, it marries relentless dynamism with the composure of a true grand tourer.

Both models wear Pentland Green paint beneath a Westminster Green hood, evoking Aston Martin’s racing heritage with modern restraint. Inside, tri-tone leather in Centenary Saddle Tan, Ivory, and Woven hues wraps around dark walnut veneers and bespoke 60th-anniversary embroidery — a cabin as much atelier as cockpit.

Each Volante celebrates the romance of the road: roofs that fold away in just 14 seconds, bronze-milled side strakes that channel air with precision, and interiors whispering of tailored English refinement. More than commemorative editions, these are tributes to motion itself — designed not merely to be driven, but to be desired.

In an age of electrified anonymity, the Volante 60th Anniversary Editions remind us what true automotive artistry feels like — rare, mechanical, and unapologetically alive.
