In a time when women are navigating increasing emotional, professional, and social pressure, Viktoriia Slavyna offers a grounded and structured perspective on wellbeing. A psychologist and author, her work focuses on helping women develop inner stability, clarity, and self-respect — not as abstract concepts, but as practical foundations for everyday life. With a background in medicine and psychology, and an integrative professional approach, Viktoriia works with women during periods of transition, guiding them toward sustainable emotional balance and conscious decision-making. In this interview for Chic Icon magazine, Viktoriia Slavyna speaks about her professional path, her approach to women’s wellbeing, authorship, family values, and why self-respect remains the most underestimated form of strength.

Your professional journey began in medicine. How did you come to psychology and working with the inner world of a person?

Viktoriia Slavyna: From an early age, I felt a strong inner sense that my path was connected to helping people and caring for human life. At that time, psychology was not yet widely established as a profession, so my first conscious choice was medicine. This experience taught me responsibility, respect for the human body, and the value of life itself. When psychology became accessible as a formal discipline, it felt like a natural continuation rather than a change of direction. I realised that psychology would allow me to work with both the external functioning of a person and their inner world, accompanying deeper and more lasting change.

Was there a moment when you clearly understood your professional purpose?

Viktoriia Slavyna: Yes, during a period of deep personal transformation. As I was reassessing my own values and direction, I noticed that my presence, words, and professional insight were becoming a source of stability for others. That experience helped me clearly define my purpose: to support individuals in building inner resilience and making conscious, self-directed choices rather than reacting to external pressure.

Your work integrates psychology with analytical systems such as numerology and astrology. Why was it important for you to combine these approaches?

Viktoriia Slavyna: I have always viewed a person as a complex system — not only behavioural or cognitive, but also emotional and cyclical. Psychology provides depth and structure in understanding internal processes, while numerology and astrology help identify recurring patterns, potential, and life rhythms. I use these systems as analytical tools rather than abstract concepts. Together, they allow me to see the person as a whole and offer clearer orientation. In my experience, sustainable change happens when we address the full picture rather than isolated symptoms.

Clients often describe your consultations as very precise. How do you explain this accuracy?

Viktoriia Slavyna: Precision comes from presence. I listen not only to words, but also to pauses, emotional reactions, tone, and internal tension. This allows me to understand what is happening beneath the surface. Additional clarity comes from structured systems such as numerology and astrology, which help identify personal tendencies and recurring scenarios. When combined with psychological expertise, they allow for a more accurate and respectful approach. The client often feels understood on a deeper level, which creates trust and clarity.

When working specifically with women, what is most important for you to recognise in them?

Viktoriia Slavyna: Their inner stability — even when it is temporarily obscured by stress, fatigue, or external roles. Many women underestimate their own resilience and internal resources. My role is to help them reconnect with that inner foundation, recognise their value, and rebuild self-respect. From that point, changes in relationships, boundaries, and decision-making occur naturally.

How do you define women’s wellbeing today?

Viktoriia Slavyna: For me, women’s wellbeing is closely connected to self-respect. It is the ability to hear oneself, trust one’s internal signals, and make decisions without constant self-justification. When a woman develops genuine self-respect, many external aspects of life begin to align — professional choices, relationships, and emotional balance. It is not about perfection or constant positivity; it is about inner clarity and consistency.

What transformation in your clients moves you the most?

Viktoriia Slavyna: The moment a woman stops living in constant obligation and begins to choose herself calmly, without guilt or defence. This shift is subtle, but profound. When self-respect appears, priorities change, boundaries strengthen, and emotional maturity grows. From there, life becomes more intentional rather than reactive.

You are also the author of several books. What role does writing play in your professional work?

Viktoriia Slavyna: Writing is an extension of my psychological practice. It allows me to speak to women in a more private and reflective space. My books combine practical tools, reflection, and lived experience. They are designed to support women in moments when they are searching for clarity, understanding, or inner support. Writing allows me to reach women beyond individual consultations.

Are you currently working on new publications for an international audience?

Viktoriia Slavyna: Yes. One of my books has already been translated into English and published on Amazon, making it accessible internationally. Other projects are currently in translation and adaptation, taking into account cultural differences and the lived experiences of women in different countries.

You recently relocated to the United States. How has this influenced your professional direction?

Viktoriia Slavyna: It marks a new stage of professional expansion. I am currently developing in-person formats for women — therapeutic groups, educational programs, and live gatherings that provide depth, safety, and continuity. My focus is on creating spaces where women can build inner stability, reflect, and leave with practical, sustainable change rather than short-term motivation.

What values form the foundation of your personal and family life?

Viktoriia Slavyna: Respect, honesty, and dialogue — especially in difficult moments. Reciprocity is central to our family values. Support, responsibility, and care must be mutual. For me, family is not about hierarchy or obligation, but about conscious exchange, presence, and mutual respect.

What would you like every woman to understand about herself?

Viktoriia Slavyna: That she is already enough. There is no need to become someone else or constantly prove her worth. True wellbeing begins with self-respect — with the ability to trust oneself and make decisions from clarity rather than fear.

If you could leave women with one professional message, what would it be?

Viktoriia Slavyna: Self-respect is not a luxury; it is a foundation. When a woman trusts herself and honours her inner signals, her life becomes more stable, intentional, and authentic.
