Chic Icon magazine, the first luxury lifestyle media to bridge the worlds of material and spiritual, presents an exclusive journey into the heart of Egyptian sacred wisdom. Alina Dyachenko, the Editor in Chief, has traveled to Giza, Egypt, to meet Gamal Abdel Sami Zaki, a master whose lineage traces back to the secret traditions of the Pharaohs.
Nestled in the quiet intimacy of his private studio, surrounded by ancient essences and the soft aroma of incense, Kamal welcomed us into a world where every scent carries a story, every oil a purpose, and every moment is an opportunity to reconnect with one’s deepest self. For over 35 years, Gamal has dedicated his life to Reiki, Ayurveda, aromatherapy, and the secret arts of the pharaohs — knowledge preserved through centuries and now shared with those ready to listen.

Chic Icon: Today, we’re here with you in Giza, in the heart of Egypt. Can we start with the basics? Who is Gamal Abdel Sami Zaki?
Gamal Abdel Sami Zaki: I am a Second Degree Reiki Master, a Usui Reiki Master, an aromatherapy master, and an Ayurveda master, with more than 35 years of experience. I can see and read people energetically, and my family has worked with what we call the sacred secrets of the Pharaohs.
When people speak of the Pharaohs’ secrets, they often mean the seven base chakra oils documented in the Museum of Memphis on five stone tablets. But near the Great Pyramids, in three specific locations, there are inscriptions revealing fourteen oils — the seven base chakras and seven higher chakras.
In the south of Egypt, according to my knowledge, about 12,500 years ago, spiritual groups centered around the Temple of Dendera, devoted to Hathor, the divine feminine. And yet, the most significant temple for healers and therapists is the Temple of Horus in Edfu, near Aswan. It is the only temple with a dedicated room for sacred oils — inscriptions tell of 400 oils: 365 goddess oils, 21 chakra oils, and the remainder for aromatherapy. These oils address thousands of human issues, but 23 oils stand out as essential.
Chic Icon: Tell us more about the chakras and the oils.
Gamal Abdel Sami Zaki: The seven base chakra oils are critical to work with the deepest truths we keep hidden from the world. The seven higher chakra oils connect us to the universal and cosmic energies — they help us understand life, gain insight, and receive support from the universe. The seven main goddess oils guide us to understand our mission, our purpose, and how to live fully.
And then there is the spikenard oil, the oil of Mary Magdalene. It’s crucial for feminine energy, for women to reconnect with their innate talents, and for men to honor feminine wisdom without attempting to control or misuse it.
Among the 23 oils, a special blend of eucalyptus and peppermint addresses physical needs: colds, sinus issues, migraines, asthma, and even post-COVID loss of smell. With these oils, you can work anywhere, at any time, for yourself or for others, without absorbing another person’s energy.
Chic Icon: That’s fascinating. How do the oils relate to human problems?
Gamal Abdel Sami Zaki: All suffering, in my view, stems from seven patterns: suffering, blockage, control, stress, punishment, illness, and fear. The causes are also sevenfold: physical, sexual, emotional, mental, family, material, and spiritual.
People often divide into light workers and light slaves. Light workers understand both the spiritual and material worlds. They live active personal lives, receive their needs, and channel love, light, and energy. Light slaves, however, reject the material world. They deny themselves love, abundance, and personal fulfillment. They give what they do not have and forget the most essential rules for healers:
Accept people as they are, not as you want them to be.
Never decide for others.
Do not force help on someone who does not listen.
Understand suffering without letting it enter your life.

Chic Icon: And how do the oils work with the chakras?
Gamal Abdel Sami Zaki: Let’s take it step by step.
Root chakra (red amber, musk, jasmine): These oils clear negative energy, activate the physical body, and help us accept ourselves. If we do not love or accept our bodies, we cannot receive love from others.
Sacral chakra (musk): Sexual stress is not about frequent sex but about unfulfilled love and desire. These oils heal trauma, balance yin and yang, and awaken the Kundalini.
Solar plexus (jasmine): Vital for grounding and energy protection. People may unconsciously absorb energy from babies, elderly family members, or the sick. Others consciously “rob” energy through envy — these are the energy vampires. Jasmine helps protect and restore balance.
Heart chakra (rose oil): Emotional stress affects 70% of people. Rose oil helps us forgive, let go, listen to our inner voice, and reconnect with love. Emotional stress manifests physically as headaches, back pain, sleep disorders, and depression. Letting go requires honesty: writing your truth, exploring your childhood, family relationships, sexual and romantic experiences, and personal security.
Throat chakra (amber Kashmir): Here, we speak our truth, share wisdom, and guide others. Couples often lose touch with authentic communication, focusing only on obligations like money or children. This oil helps restore clarity, openness, and honest expression.
Third eye (sandalwood): Essential for dreams, visions, and inner guidance. Sandalwood distinguishes between symbolic dreams, clear visions, and subconscious inner-child dreams. It’s also helpful for physiotherapists and hands-on healers — a drop in the hands activates energy flow and healing potential.
Crown chakra (Egyptian lotus): Lotus oil clears spiritual stress, heals karma, aids regression work, and supports spiritual protection and communication. Karma exists, but it is not for every challenge we face — only persistent pressures beyond a month or two are karmic in nature. Past-life exploration teaches energy patterns, not inflated identities: you may carry Isis’ energy, but you are not Isis.
Chic Icon: For someone new to oils, how would you recommend starting?
Gamal Abdel Sami Zaki: Begin with rose and lotus oils. Oils can be applied directly to the body, in baths, showers, saunas, massages, diffusers, oil burners, or even washing machines. Use three oils daily: one in the shower, one on the shoulders, and one on the feet. Rotate oils to feel their energy. When healing others, oils should be in your hands and carefully chosen to protect your energy while supporting theirs.
Healing results generally appear within three to six months, with daily application and an active, receptive life. For those less spiritual, oils still work physically — musk for sexual health, red amber for the body, and rose for emotional stress.
Advice for deeper practice: Love yourself first. Receive your needs. Be honest with yourself. Oils bring your truth to the conscious level; they will not deceive you.
Chic Icon: Any final words for our readers?
Gamal Abdel Sami Zaki: Love yourself and love your life. Be alive. Be your number one priority. Honor yourself. Allow the oils to guide you, but the transformation begins with your heart and your willingness to embrace your truth.
It was an honor to share this sacred space with Gamal Abdel Sami Zaki, whose knowledge bridges ancient Egyptian tradition and modern spiritual practice, offering a path for luxury, wellness, and enlightenment in one timeless experience.
