When I arrived at METT Hotel & Beach Resort Bodrum, the first thing that struck me was its effortless style and top location. Set along a tranquil stretch of the Aegean coast, not far from Bodrum’s old town, the resort feels like a contemporary sanctuary—sleek, sun-filled, and impeccably designed. Everything here is clean, open, and understated, where every line, texture, and tone seems intentionally chosen to create a sense of calm.
Location & Atmosphere

METT sits quietly in Haremtan Cove, close enough to the heart of Bodrum to reach in a short drive, yet far enough to feel detached from the city’s bustle. From the resort, I could see the sea spreading out endlessly in front of me, with the faint silhouette of Greek islands in the distance. The vibe is relaxed but polished, with a mix of international travelers who come here for the same reason I did—to disconnect, to swim, to eat well, and to enjoy the Aegean light in a place where everything feels new and perfectly maintained.
Design & Rooms

The design is pure contemporary coastal chic: a palette of white, sand, and pale wood, accented by linen textures and soft curves. Rooms are spacious, minimal yet warm, with large windows and balconies letting in the Aegean light.

I stayed in one of the sea-view suites and could have spent hours just watching the water shift colors throughout the day. The interiors felt like an extension of the landscape—clean, balanced, and beautifully simple. The resort has a range of rooms, suites, and villas, each thoughtfully designed. The villas, some with private pools and gardens, offer privacy and space ideal for longer stays or families. Every detail—from the crisp bed linens to the quiet air-conditioning and subtle lighting—felt deliberate and soothing.
Dining

Dinner at Isola, the hotel’s Italian restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide, was a highlight of my stay. Perched above the hill with the old city views, it manages to be elegant without pretension. I started with homemade pasta tossed in a light truffle sauce and ended with a classic tiramisu that tasted as if it had been flown in from northern Italy that morning. The seafood was equally memorable—fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully plated. Isola’s focus is simplicity done right: quality ingredients, executed with confidence. It’s the kind of restaurant where you finish dinner feeling both indulged and refreshed.
The Beach

METT has two private beaches, both complimentary for guests, and they became the heart of my days. One side of the property has a quieter beach, ideal for reading, swimming, or simply letting time pass to the rhythm of the waves. The other side hosts the resort’s stylish Folie Restaurant & Sea, which guests can book in advance—also free of charge. It’s more social, with music, a lively restaurant, and a gentle energy that builds through the afternoon.

Folie deserves its own mention. Its menu leans Mediterranean with a creative twist—think grilled fish, fresh salads, and icy cocktails served right by the sea. It’s the kind of place where lunch easily turns into sunset drinks. Service is smooth but never overbearing; the staff somehow know when you need another glass of something cold before you even ask.
Breakfast

Breakfast at METT is another pleasure entirely. Served on a bright terrace overlooking the sea, it’s a feast that manages to feel both abundant and refined. There’s a generous spread of Turkish cheeses, olives, pastries, and fresh fruit, alongside international options. I especially loved the made-to-order omelets and the warm, flaky pastries straight from the oven. Everything tasted fresh and seasonal, and the view—soft morning light over the Aegean—made every coffee break feel like a postcard.
The Gym & Spa

I was pleasantly surprised by the gym. Many resorts treat it as an afterthought, but here, it’s a full experience. The space is airy, filled with natural light, and equipped with top-tier machines and free weights. I worked out every morning, often with the sea visible through the large windows, and noticed small details that made a difference—cold towels, and a calm, uncluttered atmosphere. It’s a gym designed for people who actually enjoy training, not just checking a box. At the same time, Moi spa is serene and discreet, offering massages, hammam rituals, and beauty treatments for when you need a reset.
Conclusion

What I loved most about METT Bodrum is its clarity of purpose. It’s not trying to evoke nostalgia or history—it’s unashamedly modern, focused on comfort, design, and atmosphere. The experience flows effortlessly from the architecture to the service: smooth, calm, and quietly luxurious.

In the evenings, I’d sit by the beach, a soft breeze carrying the scent of salt and jasmine, and watch the lights of Bodrum flicker across the bay. The music from the beach club would fade into the distance, and the only sound left was the gentle rhythm of the waves.

METT Bodrum is for travelers who appreciate good design, clean lines, thoughtful dining, and a modern sense of ease. It’s not about opulence; it’s about balance—where every view, every detail, and every flavor seems perfectly tuned to the moment. And in that sense, it captures the essence of Bodrum today: stylish, serene, and endlessly inviting.
