There are motorcycles built for speed, and then there are motorcycles conceived as objects of desire. The new AMB 002 Roadster belongs firmly to the latter category—although its performance credentials leave little doubt that it was engineered to move.
Unveiled by Aston Martin and Brough Superior in September 2026, the AMB 002 Roadster marks a new chapter in a collaboration that began with the track-only AMB 001 in 2019. Unlike its predecessors, however, the latest creation is fully road legal, making it the first street-legal motorcycle born from the partnership.
Its proportions are unmistakably Aston Martin. Sculpted carbon-fibre bodywork flows around the mechanical architecture with the same obsession with surface, proportion and aerodynamic purity found in the marque’s most exclusive automobiles. Yet beneath that unmistakably British aesthetic lies the engineering expertise of Brough Superior, the legendary motorcycle manufacturer whose machines have long occupied an almost cult-like position among collectors.
At its heart is a 1,083cc V-twin engine producing 130 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. The motorcycle’s extensive use of carbon fibre keeps weight under control while reinforcing its status as a highly engineered object rather than merely a styling exercise.
Production will be limited to 300 examples worldwide, each hand-built at Brough Superior’s headquarters in Toulouse, France. That rarity places the AMB 002 Roadster in an increasingly intriguing category of luxury: the collectible machine that exists somewhere between transportation, industrial design and mechanical art.
For Aston Martin, the project extends an aesthetic vocabulary traditionally associated with four wheels into an entirely different form. For Brough Superior, it represents another expression of its philosophy of craftsmanship and performance.
The result is something more elusive than a luxury motorcycle. The AMB 002 Roadster is a two-wheeled interpretation of Aston Martin’s world—sculptural, meticulously crafted and deliberately scarce. And like the finest contemporary collectibles, its greatest appeal may ultimately lie not in what it can do, but in the fact that so few people will ever own one.
